Q. How does the service work?
A. First, we meet to conduct a detailed food questionnaire so I understand your food preferences and dietary needs. Then, customized menus are researched, developed and created for your approval. Next, I do all of the grocery shopping and meal preparation is cooked in your home or food is cooked in a commercial kitchen and delivered to your home, work or where most convenient location.
Q. What does the services cost?
A. My services are tailored to your specific tastes and desires, so the cost depends on a number of factors. Pricing is customized to the type and size of service. Standard service of five entrees and five appropriate sides yields 20-25 meals begin at $300 including groceries (organic and specialty items not included)

A. Yes, I can work with your doctor, nutritionist, dietician or personal trainer to prepare meals to your specification.
Q. How many people do you cook for?
I spend my time cooking for many different clients, some are repeat standing clients who I see once a week or once a month. Other clients are one-time events for small dinner parties, cocktail receptions or corporate on-site cooking. I also assist at Sur la Table cooking classes and consult on recipe and menu design for private companies.
Q. Do you have to cook in my kitchen?
A. That is your decision, if you prefer in-home cooking I bring my own tools and equipment and leave the kitchen spotless when I am finished. If you prefer delivery your food will be packaged, labeled and ready to eat upon delivery.
Q. Can you cook at my dinner party for 8 people in my home, sit down plated dinner?
A. Yes, I will buy all the groceries prepare the food in your home, plate and serve the meal to your guests. I will clear each course and clean the kitchen after the meal.
Q. I want to hire a personal chef to teach me some basic cooking skills in my home, do you do that?
A. Yes, we will decide on what skills you would like to learn (ie. knife skills, basic recipes, gourmet soups, only meat dishes etc.) I will create an outline for the "mini-class" and arrive at your home with groceries, tools and equipment.
Q. If I have tons of food in my fridge will you come and cook meals from the food I already have in my home?
A. Yes, I can do that. I will need a full inventory of what products you have on hand to create your menu before my arrival. I would also like to do a pre-cook day visit to see the kitchen set and food you already have.
Q. How is the food packaged?
A. I use a variety of containers depending on the food. All are brand new reusable plastic containers or I can use Tupperware or glassware you have on hand.
